Producer Information
The Joan Simo is a family winery located in the gifted wine-growing region of Priorat. During the 90s viticulture began in the region. The owner’s maternal family had a lot of experience in viticulture, but slowly the art of winemaking died. In 1999, he transformed the basement of the historic Porrera into a cellar to take advantage of the family vineyards. As a result, they were able to handcraft high-quality wines using the grapes from their vineyards. Many valuable magazines gave an excellent score to their wines, and now their wines are exported all over the world, including the USA, Canada, China, Denmark, Philippines, etc. The philosophy of the company is to make high-quality wines with passion and perseverance. Their handmade wines have a great taste and rightly reflect the qualities of their land and their hard work and determination.
