Producer Information
John Duval Wines is a producer making highly acclaimed wines in small quantities from the Barossa Valley. It was founded in 2003 by the former winemaker of Penfolds, John Duval. The estate is best known for its wines made from classic Australian grape varieties including Shiraz and Grenache. The Plexus range is the company’s flagship, consisting of a GSM red blend and a Marsanne – Roussanne – Viognier white blend. John Duval also makes a small range of varietal wines, including the Annexus Grenache and the Entity and Affinis Shiraz wines. At the top of the range is the limited-release Eligo Reserve Shiraz, which is matured in 60 percent new French oak. On top of the Barossa Valley operation, John Duval is also a partner in the Long Shadows venture in Washington State, and also works with Viña Ventisquero in the Apalta Valley producing several wines.
