Producer Information
Giordano Vini is an wine company that produces and sells wines from regions across Italy, including Piedmont, Puglia, Veneto, Abruzzo, Tuscany and Sicily. It is based in the Talloria Valley in Diano d’Alba, and was founded in 1900 by Ferdinand Giordano. The company’s vineyard holdings have expanded considerably since the 1930s, and it has been selling wines direct to consumers since the 1950s. Giordano is one of the largest Italian wine companies for direct sales and exports to countries worldwide. The company’s portfolio includes a range of varietal and blended wines from Sangiovese, Barbera and Cortese to Syrah, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Classic DOC and DOCG wines are included alongside IGT and table wines from the north and south of Italy. Giordano produces and ages its best red wines at the original cellars in the Talloria Valley. Much further south in Puglia there is a cellar in Torricella where it produces wines from native varieties like Primitivo, Nero d’Avola and Negroamaro.
