Reviews:
- Wine Advocate: While the flawless 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Charlie’s Patch exhibits a dark ruby/purple color and lots of new oak and spice, it is not yet singing. It is put together well, raw-boned, big, and extracted, but I have given it the benefit of the doubt and scored it highly, although I am not sure it will do as well with other tasters.
Producer Information
Two Hands is an Australian wine producer of the Barossa Valley, specializing in red wines made from Shiraz. The wine portfolio aims to exhibit the diversity of Australian Shiraz by sourcing grapes from mulitple region and producing wines that highlight the regional characteristics. The flagship wine is the Ares Shiraz, which is produced from the highest-quality of Shiraz grapes sourced by the company. After ageing for 24 months in new and one-year-old French oak barrels, only the best wine from the barrels is made into the final blend. As well as Shiraz, Two Hands sources Grenache, Mataro, Roussanne, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon from its preferred regions, and brings it all to the winery in Barossa, which was built in 2004.
