Producer Information
Château Plince is a 10 hectare (25 acre) estate in Bordeaux’s Pomerol region. The Moreau family dedicate the entirety of their vineyards to the production of a single Merlot-dominant Bordeaux blend, making approximately 50,000 bottles per year. The vineyards extend over 9ha (22 acres), 84 percent of which is planted to Merlot, with the remaining to Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. In a break from the vast majority of estates in Pomerol, Château Plince harvests its vineyards by machine. Vinification is carried out in thermoregulated concrete vats for three to four weeks. The Château Plince wine spends between 12 to 18 months aging in oak barrels.
